An important factor that you should take into consideration is the energy
efficiency of the cooler. It would be a very big waste if you had to spend a large
amount of money on electricity to preserve the wine. Just like a normal
refrigerator, wine coolers also come with different ratings; the ?A? rated models
are the most energy efficient and also the most economic.
Wine is very sensitive to light and this should be taken into account while
choosing a cooler, choose a model with glass doors that are treated with a special
tint to protect the wine.
You must also consider the room that the cooler will be placed in as wine is best
kept at a temperature of 13 deg. C. which is lower than the temperature of a
normal kitchen or average room. A wine cooler should not be placed in a room
that has an average temperature of more than 25 deg. C. this hinders the
temperature settings of the cooler.
